Colonial Heritage Club
One of the wonderful perks of being in a wedding vendor is getting to experience beautiful venues in Virginia and surrounding areas.
Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg, VA is one such place. There are three beautiful things l like about this venue; the charming building, the grounds and Susan Womack the on-site event coordinator.
This venue has all the upscale trappings of a private facility. However, I was quite surprised to learn the “Public is Welcome”.
I attended a networking event at Colonial Heritage held in a large, lovely ballroom which I believe holds up to about 350 people. Our lovely hostess, Susan also informed us there is another room which holds around 90 people quite suitable for smaller affairs. The ball room is pretty and inviting on its own. It will not take much to decorate it to your liking.
I had the pleasure of tasting delicately prepared appetizers; the food was delicious and elegantly displayed.
Although the building is quite appealing the grounds offer another opportunity to hosts your event or serve as a backdrop for awesome wedding pictures.
I believe one of the truly unique features of this venue is the grounds.
My husband and I golf here from time to time. As we enter the property, I am always captivated by this water feature. I absolutely love the site and sounds of water fountains. Give me a water feature and I could just sit for hours. This spot would be an unforgettable place to have your ceremony; so, so romantic. Your guests will be in tears.
I am from Charleston, SC so magnolia trees are in my DNA. I was in awe as Susan whipped that golf cart in front of this magnificent beauty. I tell you if the flowers where in bloom I probably would have fainted. Can you imagine saying your vows at this stunning scene with sweet aroma of magnolia blossoms wafting through the air?
There are other quaint spots around the property for intimate affairs.
Last, but certainly not least is Susan Womack, the event coordinator;she is a jewel. Susan is very knowledgeable about the wedding industry, well connected and very accommodating; without a doubt you will be in good hands.
I am a fan of having the ceremony and the reception at the same venue, or in the least in close proximity to each other. I would definitely recommend this venue particularly if you are considering an outdoor ceremony with reception immediately following just a stone’s throw away in the ballroom.
